Under the mission, around 6.5 lakh families have been mobilized and around 69978 self-help groups have been formed. At present, self-help groups are being seen as ideal for widely targeted and efficient delivery of services in various services. On one hand, quality based services can be made available to the public through self-help groups, on the other hand, the livelihood of urban poor women associated with the group can be strengthened by improving their livelihoods.
Thus, keeping health and hygiene in mind, it is proposed to run Shakti Rasoi in the offices of urban bodies of the state, various other departments, schools/colleges etc. in the first phase through urban self-help groups, so that the personnel of the concerned departments/ Provision of high quality food items can be ensured to school and college students etc. Also, by strengthening the groups, effective work can be done to improve and uplift their livelihood.
In the first phase, 25 Shakti Rasoi are being operated in 15 districts. In the second phase, the operation of 25 Shakti Rasoi is proposed in 25 districts.
Now total 50 shakti rasoi in 40 district of Uttar Pradesh are active , 25 in phase 1 & 25 in phase 2.
